The Massage Studio

Mikel is a treasure. I have been a massage therapist living in California and Hawai’i for almost 25 years. I massage celebrities of note, and keep extremely busy. I mention this because I understand just how special and rare Mikel is, and what a blessing for me to come across him while on my travels. In the past month during my travels from Gran Canaria, Madrid, Barcelona and finally Dan Sebastián, I’ve been feeling amazing, but when in Spain and especially San Sebastián I have been eating and drinking at a level uncommon for my system. And also walking between 2 to 10 miles a day. My body became increasingly irritated with me the last few days, and I’ve been in excruciating pain for the last 24 hours. I think I slept wrong and tried to fix myself with some quick yoga. My mistake! My QL all the way to my diaphragm on the left side, tension in both my hips and hamstrings, even Psoas and pelvic floor pain. I was a hot mess coming in to see Mikel. I was even in pain on the table when we started. Mikel was gentle and persistent and applied pressure only once my body had relaxed enough to handle it. It felt great the entire time! And I felt completely supported and all my pain was nearly completely relieved in a 90 minute session!!!! Mikel is exceptional!! To have this kind of skill and intuitive wisdom is a blessing in any city, and here in SS it feels a bit of a miracle. Thank you, Mikel 🙏🏼🫶🏼 And he’s located in the old town area. A 6 minute walk from my hotel!!

⸻ I had a wonderful massage experience, one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating I’ve had in a long time. The space was calm and inviting, and the therapist was both professional and intuitive, tailoring the pressure and technique perfectly to what my body needed. Every detail, from the music to the pacing, was thoughtfully done, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere. I left feeling refreshed, lighter, and so much more at ease. Highly recommend if you’re in town and looking for a high-quality, restorative massage.

While on holiday in San Sebastián, I was looking for a deep tissue massage after a long and tiring work week. I chose Mikel based on his outstanding reviews, and he truly lived up to them. From the start, he was incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand my concerns and focus areas before beginning the session. His technique was excellent—he knew exactly where to apply pressure, especially on my tight neck and upper back. I walked out feeling 10 pounds lighter! He even checked in the next day to see how I was feeling, which I really appreciated. It was a bonus to be able to communicate easily in English. I highly recommend Mikel for a professional and effective massage!

I am a Thai massager therapist in Hondarribia. Of course, I must be some pain after giving a massage to a lot of customers. I had no hesitation in deciding to get a massage with Mikel. It was a wonderful experience. I came out of the massage room feeling relaxed, muscle relaxation, and feeling like new. So, thank you many times to Mikel for helping me get back to do Thai massage work. For sure, i will come back again soon. 🙏

We get a lot of massages and Mikel’s was at the top of our list. My partners suffers from a lot of back pain, and Mikel’s massage not only provide massive relief for the first time in months but also provided him with invaluable insight as to why he was experiencing pain in the first place, and how to minimize it moving forward. His particular approach to deep tissue massage was exactly what we needed. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and communicative. Highly recommend if you’re in San Sebastián.
